Ace Plant & Tool Hire Delivery/ Returns Policy


All items will be delivered in the original manufacturer's packaging and will require some form of assembly (instructions supplied with all equipment). Note Fuel and Oil are not supplied with equipment and it is the customer's responsibility to ensure equipment is set up as per manufacturers' recommendations. Free assembly available for any items that are selected for In-store pick-up. Details below on how to avail.

Delivery Charges Within the Republic of Ireland 

Band 1: Orders Under €99 (0 - 500g) = €2.50  Standard Post 

Band 2: Orders Under €99 (0 - 29kg) = €10  Courier Service 

Band 3: Orders Over €99 (0 - 29kg) = Free of Charge Courier Service 

Band 4: Orders with the weight of (30 - 49kg) = €24.99 Specialised Courier Service 

Band 5: Orders with the weight of (50 - 200kg) = €30 Local Delivery Service Only  

Band 1: STANDARD POST - Purchases of items weighing between 0-500g will incur a delivery charge of €2.50 within the Mainland Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. These deliveries are carried out by AnPost Standard Post delivery service and we aim to deliver within 2-5 Working Days.

Band 2:  Purchases of items between 0 – 29kg and under €99 will incur a delivery charge €10.00 within Mainland Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. These deliveries are carried out Fastway Courier delivery service and we aim to deliver within 2-5 Working Days.


Band 3:  Purchases of items between 0 – 29kg and over €99 will receive Free Delivery within Ireland (excluding Islands). This Free Delivery Promotion only applies to orders under 30kg in weight.  Products over this weight or orders with combined weight will be charged at the appropriate rate. We aim to deliver items in Band 3 within 2-5 Working Days.

Band 4:  Purchases of items between 30 – 49kg/Over 6.5FT Long will incur a delivery charge of €24.99 within Mainland Republic of Ireland. Certain products such as walk-behind lawnmowers are too large/heavy to dispatch with courier service and will require using a specialised freight company. Due to the additional costs to us, we are unable to offer free delivery on these products and will incur an additional delivery charge of €24.99. We aim to deliver items in Band 4 within 2-5 Working Days. Note: you must be available to receive and sign for these deliveries.


Band 5 Purchases of items between 50 – 200kg will only be available for local delivery. Local delivery includes the following counties Co. Louth, Co.Meath, and Co.Dublin. These local deliveries will incur a delivery charge of €30.00. Note if you are located within 5km of our shops this delivery charge will be reduced to €10 and a refund of the €20 will be completed after checkout. We aim to deliver items in Band 45 within 2-5 Working Days. Note: you must be available to receive and sign for these deliveries. If an order is placed outside this delivery radius the purchase will be canceled and a refund completed for the value of the purchase 

FREE INSTORE PICKUP:   Goods can be collected from our shop in Drogheda Instore pick-up can be selected on Checkout. We can also assembly the equipment free of charge so please add a comment in the 'Add Note' section of the checkout page
 if you would like the item assembled. Note: Email Notification will be sent once goods are ready to be collected. 



Where will the goods be Dispatched from?
We dispatch most of our goods from our Drogheda Shop, however on occasion, if we are out of stock of a product we may get it shipped directly from our supplier. 

Pre-Delivery Inspection
Pre-delivery inspection or PDI is the term given by manufacturers for the process performed by their dealers to ensure that a product is delivered in full and correct working order. Items (when applicable) go through a Pre Delivery Inspection by one of our trained mechanics before despatch. Items are drained of fuel and oil after inspection and before despatch. 


How can I track my parcel?
When your order is dispatched from our premises we will send you an e-mail confirmation which will have the tracking information on it.  For larger items on pallets, the freight company will contact you directly to arrange a suitable time and date for delivery.

Can I collect my order in-store?
Yes.  Please select Pick up Instore as a delivery method we will have it ready for you to uplift.  We will contact you when your order is ready for uplift.


Prior to dispatch
You can cancel your order at anytime prior to dispatch and we will refund your payment on the same day.  If however the item has been dispatched we would ask you to return the item to us and on receipt, we will refund your money less delivery costs.

Damaged in Transit
If your goods are damaged on delivery you have the right to refuse delivery, please inform us of this immediately and we will dispatch another product for you. If they are damaged once opened please inform us of this and repackage the goods which will be uplifted.  A replacement product will be dispatched.

Lost/Missing Deliveries
In the unlikely event that your parcel has not been delivered and cannot be traced, we will either refund your money or dispatch a replacement.  If you later receive the original package it must be returned to us or you will be charged for both items.

Not Satisfied with your item
If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason - change of mind, wrong size, wrong item ordered, you can return your order within 14 days of purchase.  Please ensure that it is returned to us in an unused condition in the original packaging and with your receipt.  In this instance, we would ask you to cover the postage charges involved in returning the item to us.Once received you will be issued a refund.

Faulty Goods
If after some time your machine is faulty please contact us immediately and we will assess the problem.  If required we will send replacement parts or collect & repair them.  If the product is covered under manufacturers warranty we will cover all costs involved in getting the machine back to us and repaired.  If the problem is not covered under warranty we would ask you to cover costs in this instance.
